How to see WiFi password on Android phone
Tutorial for Android 10 or Newer
The tutorial that I provide applies to versions of Android 10 or Android 11. Because starting from this version, you can view saved WiFi passwords without the need for rooting.
Open the “Settings” application.
Open the menu “Network & internet”
Press the “Wi-Fi” option and you will see the currently active Wi-Fi network at the top of the list.
Click the network.
On the page of your chosen network, click the “Share WIFI” button.
Confirm face, fingerprint or enter your PIN code to continue the process.
Well, once you do that, you will see the WiFi password listed under the QR code. If the password doesn’t appear for some reason, you can scan the QR code on the other device so they can log in to WiFi without having to enter a password.
Tutorial for Android 9 or earlier
If you are running Android 9 or earlier, you will need to use another method to view WiFi passwords. Unfortunately, this method requires a rooted Android device.
This is because the files that store the WiFi credentials for your saved networks are in a directory protected by your phone’s storage. So you don’t have permission to view the folders or files in it, unless it’s rooted.
If your Android is rooted, you can immediately use a file explorer application that supports root search (eg File by Google, X-Plore File Manager, etc.).
After that, go to’ / data / misc / wifi‘ and’ wpa_supplicant.conf.’ Well, there you will see your network name ( ssid ) and password ( psk )
